Python (Not the snake)
Python is a very popular programming language that many programmers incorporate into their projects. What you're doing right now has some sort of python script behind it. Python first began being used in the late 1980's (1989 to be exact) when is creator needed a language to use for small sided projects. Guido wrote,
"In December 1989, I was looking for a "hobby"
programming project that would keep me occupied
during the week around Christmas. My office ... would be closed,
but I had a home computer, and not much else on my hands.
I decided to write an interpreter for the new scripting language
I had been thinking about lately: a descendant of ABC
that would appeal to Unix/C hackers. I chose Python as
a working title for the project, being in a slightly
irreverent mood (and a big fan of Monty Python's Flying Circus).
— Guido van Rossum"
Pythons five main philosophizes include:
- Beautiful is better than ugly
- Explicit is better than implicit
- Simple is better than complex
- Complex is better than complicated
- Readability counts
These rules are what make python so great. It's easy to read, making is easier to debug and change lines of code throughout your coding experience with python. It's also fairly simple when compared to many other programming languages this makes the programming process a lot faster when compared to programming in Java or C++.
Its great how organized this post is especially with the middle and the side. It Makes it easy to read.
ReplyDeleteGreat philosophies and dates.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the type of work I am expecting from you. Interesting for the rest of us, and right up your alley of interest.
